Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has been able to make major international breakthroughs into the Latin popular music scene. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, won the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017. It was awarded for best Song. His debut album was a long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. The album peaked at the top of the charts, being ranked eighth at the top of the Top Latin Albums chart. Following that year, he collaborated with Ozuna to make Vaina Loca which was it was a Top Five hit. In the year 2020, he debuted his charting sophomore album Dopamina and collaborated on Mala Influencia along with Noriel. In 2021, he also performed an duet with TINI's streaming popular track Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was released in 2023. Turizo was raised in a musical family his mother and older brother are both musicians. According to him, music was a mandatory component of his childhood. In his early years, he learned to play saxophone guitar ukulele as well as piano. Although his first career choice was becoming a veterinarian his brother Julian convinced to him take singing lessons with the famous Cuban.
